Judith Cullington has over 30 years’ experience working with and for local and senior governments, non-government organizations, First Nations and the private sector. She is a professional facilitator and writer, who holds certification from the International Association for Public Participation Planning for Effective Public Participation and Group Facilitation. Her interests and experience span a diversity of topics—climate action, community planning, clean energy, natural area conservation, urban forests, species and ecosystems at risk, invasive species, water and rainwater management, parks and trails, sustainable transportation, integrated resource management, and more….
Judith is a former city councillor with the City of Colwood (2008 – 2014) and served as Chair of Transportation and Public Infrastructure Committee, Vice-chair of Parks, Recreation and Culture Committee, Vice-Chair of Planning and Land Use Committee, Vice-chair of Mayor’s Task Force on Energy and Economic Growth, and Alternate Capital Regional District Board Director. She led the development of the award-winning Solar Colwood program. Judith is a member of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers with the Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre Society, Pacific Family Centre Services Foundation, and the Esquimalt Lagoon Stewardship Initiative. She is a lay member on the Association of BC Forest Professionals’ Complaints Review Committee.
Protecting and enhancing our natural environment, taking action to address climate change and building community are part of our core values. Our office is powered in part by solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panels, and we work to conserve energy where possible. Judith drives an electric vehicle, and chooses to bike or walk as much as possible. We grow local food, support local businesses, and engage with the local community.
